Hi,

We celebrated my birhtday at the prom of my school, we had a great time.
I will now show you some pictures of gifts I received, my boyfriend really spoiled me. He gave my a dress, a high-waisted skirt, earrings, bracelet and a anklelace ( don't know the right word).
I had a very nice birthday, from my parents I got something special for my earrings and the book "influence" from the Olsen-twins.

Rangoli Bride Ciara

Thank you Ciara and Patrick for getting in touch to share these gorgeous black and white images from your wedding! Ciara tells me that her photographer Lorriane Crya n provided the lovely umbrella prop.

Ciara wore a double length Rangoli vintage brooch hairwire which was designed to match the decorative detailing on her gown.

Danish bridal shower

Please someone organise a mini party like this for me! I'm throwing out the hints today. I'm open to any theme...come on my lovely friends.

I've been meaning to tell you about The bridal Lounge; a Dublin based company offering something a bit different. Would you like a bit of help coming up with your wedding concept? How can you reflect both of your personalities? How can you make it fun to plan and do?

Aoife and Deirdre are established in the bridal industry as a make-up artist and florist & event planner. They decided to come together to share their knowledge and expertise in another way. The Bridal Lounge offer lots of different tailored services from inspiration consultations to sourcing of unique products or services to suit your style.

Aoife and Deirdre planned a bridal shower for Aoife's soon to be sister-in-law. Rikke is Danish so the girls created a magical red and white world within their stylish showroom. See the full feature on their website.

I'm also honoured to be represented on the bridal Lounge website as a recommended supplier in their Little White Book. I recently collaborated with Aoife and Deirdre for the amazing engagement shoot at Killruddery Estate.

A dress with a story

Well, while we're on the thread of all things vintage, I thought I'd share a beautiful story, a beautiful dress and a beautiful bride with you.

Mel is not one of my clients but I read about her wedding on Rock My Wedding. Although I design for all dress styles and personalities, I do love an element of vintage glamour. Maybe it reminds me of the feeling I get when I look at my parents and grand-parents wedding albums!

Mel wanted something a bit different for her wedding gown and decided she would visit The Vintage Wedding Dress Company in London. This shop sources beautiful vintage gowns from the Victorian era right up to the early 70's. I think the one she picked is really beautiful!

Here are a few words from Mel about choosing her dream dress -

My engagement ring is vintage and after looking at a few contemporary dresses online, I decided that they just weren't for me. I didn't like the idea that no matter how beautiful my dress was, another girl could be getting married up the road wearing the exact same thing.

Hi,

Today was/is my birthday! I had a wonderfull day with my best friends and boyfriend! I received beautifull gifts wich I'm going to show you very soon. Tomorrow we are gonna celebrate on the prom night of my school.

summer pics!

Hey,

Today was a very beautifull day, summer finally has arrived in Belgium. As you know I had my final exam yesterday and I did it very good!! Today my boyfriend took some pictures again. Tonight I'm going to party with all my friends, it's gonna be a long night :D. From now on I'm going to post frequently because it's vacation! I did my hair as well, normally I have dark brown hair and now it's kinda red, let me know what you think of it.

Lovely Thursday

Today has been full of lovely surprises and nice things! My email inbox contained lots of smile-inducing things this morning :-)

Claire is a recent client and it's so lovely to have a sneak peek of her wedding to Eddie. Her photographer was Christina Brosnon who I have heard great things about. Christina posted this picture on her blog and I can't wait to see more images.

Speech bubble chalk boards

Do you remember this great 'Thank you' card that I received from Penny? I designed Penny's hairwire and jewellery for her wedding. I have this card on display in my showroom and so many people comment on it. I absolutely love it too and I remember it brought a big smile to my face when I opened the envelope!

Well, Siobhan, another Rangoli client has sent me a link to some cute chalk boards that she found on Etsy. I think they are really fun and would be perfect for 'Thank You' cards. They are made by a company called Linden Lovebirds and are called 'Thought Sticks'. Even better, they only cost $17.
